The exhibition presents works that challenge and rethink current image-making practices, suggesting new ways to approach photography and the moving image within the field of art today.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;This edition is particularly special because it is the first time the event is held outdoors and the artists provided with structures instead of corners of a room. The structures were devised through a collaborative process between the designers, curators and artists themselves. Instead of standard printed namecards, a stamp is used and the medium can be any flat, ink-absorbing surface. This process stamps out (pun intended) potential wastage by ensuring a ‘made-to-order’ basis whilst also giving otherwise unwanted materials a renewed purpose. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The namecard offers “Print &amp; Design Services” as I was also working in a print shop at that point time. The typography was inspired by kitsch suburban signages and displays. The karunguni man would go from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, collecting used and/or faulty goods at a low cost, sometimes fix them up, before reselling them at nominal profit. Anything that he can’t fix is sent and sold to warehouses that specialise in recycling and reusing said items. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Inspired by the karunguni, Karunguni Supply Company aims to cultivate a culture of sustainability through vintage fashion and collectables. This process involved meeting the guest speakers and collaborating on an effective creative solution that best represents the themes of the lecture for that week. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The collaterals included an A3 poster, a GIF (for social media and EDMs) and a wine label as part of a token gift to the speaker (up to Week 6).
